i hear that from the jw's in my life.

the last time, i challenged the aspect of a worldwide preaching work.. i said that the work is barely scratching the surface in 2/3rds of the world- muslim, hindu, buddist lands.

- does it follow the bible?
- does it reject the trinity?
- does it engage in worldwide preaching?
- does it's name start with "jehovah"?
- does it's name end with "witnesses"?

Help! Want to use Linux

i have a three year old laptop.. the disk got corrupted, and i don't have the windows reinstal anymore.

god only knows where it went, and he's not telling.. i have decided that i want to just forget windows for this machine, and use linux instead.

the learning experience could be fun, and instaling it and doing the necessary with the corrupted hard disk should be an interesting project.. i dont want to spend a fortune, but what software would i need if any to prepare the hard disk.

gnome is way better of course, only christians use kde.

i also recommend ubuntu. you need no extra software to prepare your harddisk. you can download ubuntu for free at ubuntu.com, all you have to do is burn the cd-image to a cd, put it into your computer and start. it'll start from cd and give you an option to install it to your harddisk.

does anyone else sometimes hear a phrase and immediately connect it to big a or something?

i've been playing the game "assassins creed" on my playstation 3 yesterday and one character in the game greets me like: "safety and peace, my brother!

i instantly had to think about the "whenever they say, peace and security..." line.

i instantly had to think about the "whenever they say, peace and security..." line. i wonder if i ever wipe that trash off my brain. it's not like i wouldn't need the extra space.

she has the capability of being nice but i never feel like its very warm.

i've tried to reach out to her before but i just have nothing in common with her.

i don't even feel comfortable around her.. because of her personality, the idea of just being in her presence stresses me out.

hmm... don't know what to do about the kids, but i learned that good friends are way more important than any family ties. of course some family members may be one's best friends too. or one's worst enemies...

i think to remember the russell initially accepted water baptisms of other christian denominations.

but does anyone know when (and maybe who) they started their own water baptism rite?

Did you help clean the Kingdom Hall, yard work, maintenance?

at one hall i attended for serveral years had a lawn covering large man-made burms with trees and bushes.

it was a difficult yard to mow and maintain.

i have often wondered why we all pitched in and worked so hard for nothing.

i used to clean the snow off the parking lot. but when they found i'd wear my hair "too long", i lost that "priviledge". lucky me.
